PBS’ Colonial House debuts tonight.
The producers of Manor House and Frontier House take 24 people back to colonial America, circa 1628, for five months when Colonial House debuts tonight. The series airs over four nights—May 17 and 18, and 24 and 25—in pairs of back-to-back hour-long episodes. (Since this is PBS, check your local listings for exact times and dates.) Oprah visits the Machias, Maine, location for her show today, but did not participate in the series. Producer Beth Hoppe tells the New York Daily News that they “were more ambitious this time. We had more people [26]. We had them take on some of the laws of the time.”
