Gordon Ramsay is giving away a prize to the winner of Hell’s Kitchen 4 that may affect his life and bottom line, as the winner will become the executive chef at his new restaurant.

A press release says “the winner of the competition will earn the coveted position of ‘Executive Chef’ at Ramsay’s new restaurant, ‘The London West Hollywood,’ which is scheduled to open in summer 2008.” Why the scare quotes around the title of “executive chef”? Perhaps because of its history of not actually giving away its prizes. That streak ended last season, but maybe the show is covering its bases—or whoever wrote the release likes quotation marks.

Fox has announced the 15 contestants who will compete for that prize, but all that really matters is that Gordon Ramsay is returning to scream at them. The new season debuts April 1.
