Hell's Kitchen 4

Fourth season is Hell’s Kitchen’s highest-rated yet

Tuesday’s conclusion of Hell’s Kitchen 4, when Christina was selected by Gordon Ramsay as the person who sucked the least, was watched by 8.8 million viewers.

That’s up slightly from the 8.6 million who watched last August’s third-season finale. More siginficantly, it’s a 10 percent increase from last week, and the show “led the 9 o’clock hour in all key demos,” according to Variety, which reports that “[f]or its entire run — beginning in April, when it followed ‘American Idol’ on the schedule — this was the highest-rated season to date for the cooking series.”

That’s somewhat tragic since, for me, it was the most boring season yet. Then again, it wasn’t much different than the previous three seasons, and had it aired first, I probably would have been enraptured. But the formula and repetition has gotten a bit stale and boring over time.
