FOX renews Hell’s Kitchen
One of the two breakout new reality shows of the summer, Hell’s Kitchen, will return to FOX, as will it star, chef Gordon Ramsay.
Besides the fact that the series “regularly won its 9 p.m. Monday timeslot in adults 18-49,” as Variety reports, the finale was watched by 8.94 million viewers. As such, it was expected that FOX would bring it back for a second season, although there’s no word when that season might air.
The series surprised even FOX’s reality chief Mike Darnell because, as he told Variety, “a lot of these ‘Apprentice’-like shows have failed, except for ‘Hell’s Kitchen.’” The not-so-secret, of course, is Ramsay, who screams at everyone and calls them fun names. “He’s really in his element (on the show). He’s a very dynamic personality,” Darnell said.
