Shooting Growing Up Gotti sent a freelance cameraman for the A&E series to the hospital. He was treated for injuries to his ankle after Gotti family friend Larry Velasquez’s bowling ball either was thrown at the cameraman or accidentally hit him, depending upon who is asked. Page Six remarkably gets both sides of the story, as Victoria Gotti says that the camera operator “was looking for a special shot and he was running down the lanes as the balls were going” and said that her family is “traumatized” because of his injury. An unnamed witness, however, tells Page Six that Velasquez “is said to have tossed the heavy ball at the cameraman and cracked, ‘Catch!’ just before it crushed his ankle. Insiders said that as the cameraman writhed on the ground in agony, the Gottis and their portly pal laughed and pointed.”
