A&E renews The Two Coreys, which may actually be real for its second season
A&E has ordered a second season of The Two Coreys, the scripted reality show starring Corey Feldman and Corey Haim. Ten episodes will debut sometime this spring.
The two men “were last seen feuding at the end of Season 1, and execs say the two have not seen each other since,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. “In the second season, Haim and Feldman will pick up in Los Angeles where they left off and decide whether to work through their differences or part ways.”
However, Corey Feldman wrote on his blog in late December that “the problems Haim and I have in real life occured after the show was over and do not have anything to do with the banter from last season.” That’s further, albeit unnecessary, evidence that the show is scripted and contrived, which Feldman has been candid about in interviews.
However, Feldman wrote that “the next season will have to be darker, edgier, and more real because that’s where it’s at.” In December, they were “having creative talks and negotiations to see if we can find a way to continue the show even given the broken state that Haim and my relationship is in.”
