ArchivesAmerica’s Next Top Model producer Tyra Banks and Beauty and the Geek producer Ashton Kutcher are creating a reality competition for ABC that will focus on beauty pageant.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, “The as-yet-untitled project will feature contestants competing in a beauty pageant. Naturally there’s a twist, but the network has requested that the concept remain under wraps because the show hasn’t started production.”
That sounds a lot like the paper knows the twist but won’t reveal it, because protecting access to a network is much more important than providing actual information to readers. Earlier, however, Tyra told Entertainment Weekly that the show would be ”my brand and his brand combined.” That prompted the magazine to speculate it would be America’s Next Top Geek.
Whatever it is, eight episodes will be produced, but the new series does not yet have a projected debut date.
