ArchivesLogo announced three new reality series yesterday, a dating series and two docudramas, all of which will debut next year.
Transamerican Love Story, which will debut in February, “follows Calpernia Addams as she whittles down a group of eight bachelors living together in an Los Angeles–area house, with the help of her best friend and fellow transgender activist Andrea James,” The Advocate reports.
Addams is a post-operative transexual woman, but unlike the other transgendered dating series, her suitors will know that from the beginning. She is perhaps best known for her relationship with Barry Winchell, the Army private who was murdered by fellow soldiers because of his relationship with Addams.
Next summer, Logo will air six half-hour episodes of Gimme Sugar, a series that follows “five lesbians in the L.A. club scene, trying to launch and promote their own club night,” and Rockdogs, which “shows championship gay basketball team members living together under one roof in San Francisco as they prepare to defend their national title,” according to The Advocate.
