VH1 plans America’s Most Smartest Model, The Salt-N-Pepa Show, Danny Bonaduce’s Child Star, and Click!

VH1 has announced six new reality series that will anchor its new night of original programming. The new shows will air on Thursdays and debut late this year or early in 2008.

Danny Bonaduce will return to the network, although instead of chronicling his downward spiral and torturing his family, he’ll torture other people’s families. His new show Danny Bonaduce’s Child Star is a competition that “puts kids and parents through challenges to find the next big child star,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Salt-N-Pepa Show is “a 10-episode series following the female rap group as they attempt to reunite.” Pepa previously appeared on The Surreal Life 5.

There’s also America’s Most Smartest Model, a take-off on America’s Next Top Model that will be hosted by Ben Stein and Mary Alice Stephenson. On the show, “14 models are put through challenges to win the title and a cash prize.” Another competition series, Click!, will feature photographers.

Finally, there’s Lords of the Revolution, a documentary series that “profiles the ‘nonconformist heroes’ of the 1960s and ’70s,” and Old Skool With Terry and Gita, “a five-episode series starring Terry Moore, 77, an actress and ex-wife of Howard Hughes, and Gita Hall, 72, one of the world’s first supermodels, as they set out to discover ‘what’s hip and happening today,’” according to the paper.
