ArchivesThe NBC reality series starring Victoria Beckham is no longer a series, according to several reports, but instead has been turned into a special.
A few days ago, The Mirror reported that Victoria “walked out” because she “was fuming when producers of the fly-on-the-wall series about her move to America insisted she must fly out to Los Angeles this week for a fortnight’s filming,” even though that overlapped with her husband David’s soccer games.
Victoria’s spokesperson told the paper, “Victoria has had great fun filming the show. However the schedule was incredibly tight and it is up to the network what happens next.”
People reported that Victoria “hasn’t pulled out but has decided to put David and her children first. Victoria was supposed to go back to L.A. this week and next week but has canceled. What that means is that out of a very tight four or five-week filming schedule, half of it is lost.”
Either way, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed with its own anonymous sources that the series was now just a one-off special, although it noted that “the special could lead to more specials or a series.”
