NBC offers Victoria Beckham £10 million for her own reality show

Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, has been offered £10 million for her own NBC reality show.

The show “will follow her move to America,” according to the Evening Standard, which says NBC has ordered just one season. David Beckham “will feature in the show, but we’re told he doesn’t want a very hands-on role”; likewise, Victoria “doesn’t want her three sons Brooklyn, seven, Romeo, four and two-year-old Cruz, involved as she’s always claimed she wants them to lead as normal a life as possible,” according to the paper.

NBC won a bidding war for the show, Victoria’s manager says. “The Americans were falling over themselves to sign Victoria up for a TV show but we had to choose the right deal for her. NBC won out in the end as they have really taken a shine to Vic’s hilarious sense of humour and they want to capitalise on this. She is a funny lady and this new series will show this to the world,” said her manager Simon Fuller, who co-created Idol and used to represent the Spice Girls.

He emphasizes that the show is not going to be serious. “Funny is the key word. Just remember that when the show hits our screens. I can’t divulge any more information about it as it’s very early days, and the ink is barely dry on the deal. It will humanise her and give her fans an insight into what she’s really like for the first time,” he said.
