Two film producers are pitching “a potential sports-themed reality show with former Playboy Playmate Stephanie Heinrich and Miami Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor,” Variety reports. The Real Deal will follow NFL stars “confronting their fears in environments in which we don’t usually see them,” according to producer Randall Emmett. The show was Playmate Stephanie Heinrich’s idea, as she “brought the idea to the company and will serve as a producer and host,” Variety says.
Meanwhile, the TV Guide Channel will air its first original reality series, Making News: Texas Style, “follows the behind-the-scenes drama and daily struggles of a diverse cast of anchors, reporters, trainees and producers” at Odessa, Texas, CBS affiliate KOSA, according to Variety. There’s no word as to when the 13-episode series will air.
Finally, MTV is importing an MTV UK series called The Virgin Diaries. As the title suggests, the UK show “found ten young adults aged 16-18 who were willing to talk openly about sex, sexuality and their own virginity and filmed them over three months,” MTV’s UK site says. The cast included “bisexual 16-year-old Mark, from Essex, who doesn’t know whether he’ll lose his virginity to a boy or a girl” and “Nicola, 16, who reckons all her mates have become slags since having sex.”
However, as PopBitch reported (via Metro), the US version sounds a little bit different: “Teens are being auditioned in Los Angeles and New York to lose their virginity on screen. It’s brought to you by the man behind Paris Hilton’s home sex tape and he’s trying to get porn star Jenna Jameson involved.” If that’s not a joke or just sensationally written, the US version could be the reality Our First Time.
