CBS will air Jackson family-judged Pop Dynasty, a search for talented families
The Jackson Family wanted their own reality series, and now they have one, sort of. Jermaine, Tito, and LaToya will judge CBS’ talent search Pop Dynasty, which is like American Idol for families.
The show is “designed to find a new superstar crooner clan,” Variety reports, and “is expected to include the standard performance elements” and “focus a bit on the personal aspects of the families, exploring how they interact as a group.”
CBS “will produce at least eight episodes of the project,” Variety says, and “[was] attracted to the show because of its unique twist on the singing competish, as well as the presence of three members of the iconic Jackson crew.”
While Jermaine Jackson is producing the show, and Tito and LaToya will serve as judges, Michael and Janet Jackson are not involved with the series.
