ABC casting New Yorkers for “frothy” Fire Island summer reality series Summer Share

This summer, ABC will air a reality series that’s described as “The Real World meets Laguna Beach for adults,” ABC’s Andrea Wong told Variety.

Summer Share “will follow the lives and loves of a group of people who’ll spend their weekends in a summer house on New York’s Fire Island.” The six-episode series will be produced by Bunim-Murray. Wong says the show was pitched by Jon Murray, and added that ABC has wanted “to do a fun, frothy show for a while now.”

Casting is this Saturday in New York City; producers want New Yorkers who “would like to spend your weekends on the beach (and have us pick up the tab).”
