ArchivesAn MTV exec previously doubted that MTV would use Laguna Beach’s style in another reality show, but because MTV is best at copying itself, that’s exactly what they’re doing with an upcoming show. The New York Post reports that the previously announced series 8th & Ocean will “use the same multiple-camera style and editing techniques that make ‘Laguna’ look more like a scripted drama than a reality show.”
8th & Ocean will follow fashion models who are working in Miami Beach. The Post reports that “[n]o date has been set for the series’ debut, and MTV officials cited the network’s policy of not commenting on shows that are still in development.”
Expect an investigation by Gawker about 8th & Ocean in a year or so.
