Telemundo planning show with Emilio Estefan; Richard Branson’s show casting.
Telemundo is getting into the mogul reality series game. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Telemundo is planning “a business-oriented reality show along the lines of ‘The Apprentice’ with Miami-based music mogul Emilio Estefan taking on the Donald Trump role.” Meanwhile, Richard Branson’s show The Billionaire is casting. Bunim-Murray is producing the show, and is looking for “[m]ale and female adventurers and entrepreneurs of all backgrounds, education levels and experience.” Open casting calls continue today in Seattle. Those selected will go “on a whirlwind tour of the world to test their mettle” and will “be tested on the same sort of life experiences and personal dilemmas that Branson faced on his path to becoming one of the world’s most successful businessmen.” Mark Cuban’s series The Benefactor has already cast and is currently taping in Dallas.
+ also: Latino network will air Urban Jungle during which “nine privileged contestants are striped of their Beemers and cell phones and are given labor-intensive jobs.”
