UPN’s Missy Elliott Project tour show will also be a hip-hop competition.
Missy Elliott’s UPN show that follows her life on tour will also include a competition among aspiring hip-hop artists. The “group will be challenged in a variety of ways while on the road, and with Missy’s guidance, be exposed to top music industry insiders, all under 24-hour-a-day surveillance,” according to a UPN press release. The Missy Elliott Project will, sadly, be produced by the same nitwits who produce Big Brother, Arnold Shapiro and Allison Grodner. Auditions start Sunday in LA; those auditioning “should have a three-minute routine prepared that showcases their talents as a singer, a rapper, a dancer and all-around entertainer.”
