MTV is apparently offering to make worldwide stars of UK boy rock band Busted a group that one fan site says “changed the face of pop in British music.” Brand Republic says that they “are in discussions with MTV to do a fly-on-the-wall documentary similar to The Osbournes, which could see the band catapulted to stardom in the US. The deal is reportedly worth £1m, with lucrative merchandising projects to follow if negotiations are successful.” …
LMNO Productions is now casting melodramatic people who’d like to star in a soap opera. On the series, which is being produced for Disney-owned SoapNet, “Six people will live together while competing for the ultimate prize: a role on a network soap opera.” … Finally, Ivana Trump has reportedly signed a deal with Stone Stanely to star in her own show. By the way, Stone Stanley, producers of The Mole and America’s Next Top Model, are actually now just Stone, as Stanley—David Stanley, that is—left for a production deal at Telepictures.
