RJ Cutler is producing a show for FX that “will chronicle the lives of a white family and a black family, possibly living under one roof,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. He says, “It is a provocative examination of race relations and how it affects real people. It’s going to be entertaining; it’s going to be engaging; it’s going to be challenging and provocative, but in really accessible way.” FX is currently searching for families to participate. FX, by the way, is where Cutler initially conceived of American Candidate; this new show “came out of a meeting Cutler had with FX entertainment president John Landgraf soon after Landgraf took the job in January,” the paper reports.
