Rod Stewart gets MTV reality show.
Rod Stewart, in case you didn’t know, is now hip (again?). Recently, Rod sold 4 million copies of his latest album, and there’s a new London stage show based on his music. The next logical step: a 12-episode series on MTV. For Rod: Live and Uncensored, MTV “has promised him $5 million up front, with another $20 million if the show…is a hit,” The Sydney Morning Herald reports. The paper says “he’s obsessed with his train set and his soccer” and “telegenic young women,” so that $20 mil shouldn’t be a problem.
