owner of Confederate general’s house plans “unscripted drama” about Civil War.
A man who owns a house that served as headquarters for a Confederate general during a Civil War battle is producing and co-hosting an “unscripted drama” about the war. Sabers and Roses: The Civil War Reality Show “immerses professional actors in the lifestyles of Civil War soldiers and sympathizers,” and they compete for points based competitions where “characters compete against each other in a variety of skills that real-life residents of the era might have possessed, such as cannon firing, ballroom dancing, muzzle-loading and 19th century etiquette.” Kevin Dolan has already shot the pilot for the network-less show, which he predicts will eventually “take America by storm.”
