CBS won’t back away from Real Beverly Hillbillies plans despite protests.
Both the Paper, Allied-Industrial, Chemical and Energy Workers International Union and the Communications Workers of America joined the protest recently against CBS’ plans for The Real Beverly Hillbillies, but the network’s chairman said they won’t back down. “It’s something we still are curious about. We haven’t thrown in the towel yet, we’re examining it very closely,” Les Moonves said. The show isn’t even in pre-production stages yet, so there’s no date yet for a possible premiere.
