Simon Cowell’s dating show, Cupid, will let woman select group of men.
Simon Cowell’s forthcoming reality TV show Cupid will reverse the formula followed by shows such as The Bachelor and Mr. Personality. The show’s star—Lisa Shannon, a 25-year-old ad writer—will audition men herself (along with some of her friends), and then find her group narrowed by the show’s viewers.
Simon says he “never understood the premise of a dating show whereby the girls have got to select people who have been pre-selected by producers.” Simon is only producing the show; former MTV VJ Brian McFayden will host.
The 11-week series debuts July 11 on CBS and will air live after the first few episodes; if Lisa stays with the man she selects for an entire year, they get $1 million.
