ABC and Bachelor producer plan Joe Millionaire copy featuring two men.
The Bachelor/ette producer Mike Fleiss will next produce for ABC a show that’s a rip-off of Joe Millionaire. Rich Guy, Poor Guy will feature, sort of obviously, two guys, one rich and one poor; the gaggle of women chasing them won’t know who is the rich one and who is the poor one. Fleiss doesn’t hide the fact that this show is inspired by FOX’s program: “Based on the success of ‘Joe Millionaire’ and the whole is-it-for-love-or-money vibe, we decided to go forward with this project,” Variety reports he said. There will be some twists, however; the women will live in both a mansion and a trailer park-type place, and when the final women decide whether or not to stay with the men, they’ll be able to get married right then.
