Love for Sale is reality Indecent Proposal; Mike Tyson may get a show.
ABC is taking the plot of Indecent Proposal and turning it into a show called Love for Sale. The show “will offer couples an unspecified sum of money if one member agrees to spend several weeks with a member of the opposite sex,” according to Entertainment Weekly. The six-episode series, produced by the producers of The Surreal Life, will debut this summer. Meanwhile, a producer is shopping a show starring Mike Tyson. ESPN reports that the producer calls it “Rocky-esque, with good dramatic story telling of characters over many weeks that eventually builds to a live event.” The show may also follow someone training to fight Tyson. Now, “the show’s format has been finalized and, after surveying the TV landscape for interest, the suitor list is down to one network,” ESPN reports; the only network that will confirm it has turned Tyson down is FOX.
