Louisiana Senate votes to ask CBS to not air The Real Beverly Hillbillies.
First there was an ad. Then members of Congress got involved. Now, the Louisiana Senate has voted nearly unanimously “to approve a resolution to ask CBS television, a unit of Viacom Inc., to not air”
The Real Beverly Hillbillies. One person voted against the resolution; Mike Smith, a Democrat who supported the resolution, said the show, which is still in pre-production, “makes a mockery of rural America.”
