UC-Santa Cruz has dropped disciplinary action against one of the two fraternity brothers who killed one of the campus’ 50-something-year-old koi fish. The fish killing, which resulted in the expulsion of the fraternity from campus but was not featured on Fraternity Life: Santa Cruz, won’t result in disciplinary action for Casey Loop, but Matthew Cox’s case is apparently still pending, Bay City News reports. Both guys still face a Feb. 9 trial; if the jury finds them guilty, they could each be jailed for a year.
