Fraternity Life organization suspended for hazing because of activities on show.
Some of the activities featured on the first episode of Fraternity Life have resulted in the fraternity, Sigma Chi Omega, being suspended by the University at Buffalo. A school VP tells the Buffalo News that “[e]verybody who watches expresses concern about the forced calisthenics or some of the apparent treatment, which could constitute embarrassment, harassment or ridicule.” The school’s student newspaper, The Spectrum, reports that after the show aired, “letters and e-mails flooded the university, prompting the administration to look into the initiation rituals of the fraternity.” No pledges have complained.
