Flavor of Love 3

Flavor of Love 3 is now casting

Producers are now casting for a third season of Flavor of Love, the show that has essentially come to define VH1’s latest wave of programming. This will be the fifth spin-off of the original, first season of the series.

The casting notice says that the format will remain the same for Flavor of Love 3: “Twenty bachelorettes to live in a mansion in the Hollywood Hills and compete for the love of the infamous Flavor Flav!” Producers want “fun, hot, outgoing, wild and crazy singles ages 21 and up!!!”, especially those who like extra exclamation points or poop on the floor.

Last fall, during the second season, Flavor told Billboard, “If there’s a connection [on this season] then there might not be a reason for ‘Flavor of Love 3.’ I ain’t scared to do it again but I ain’t really trying to. I want to do a talk show or something. I’ve done enough dating on TV. I’m ready to spread my wings and go down other avenues. I don’t want to just stay stuck on one page ‘cause you don’t make it to the end of the book [that way].”

While the spin-offs have done well—Charm School was VH1’s third most popular show ever—the 7.5 million who watched the finale of Flavor of Love 2 remains a franchise high point. Thus, it’s not surprising that the show is returning, as is I Love New York, which taped its second season this summer.
