ArchivesVH1 has officially renewed Flavor of Love for a second season. This isn’t surprising, considering the record-breaking first season ratings and the fact that casting already started. The show has been renewed for 10 episodes.
VH1 says they renewed the show because “Flavor Flav became more determined to find love,” after his first search failed. And the show’s executive producers “say” in a press release that “[a]fter spending so much time with Flavor Flav on ‘Surreal Life’ and ‘Flavor of Love,’ we shared his frustration at not having found love. Thankfully, the success of the first season and Flav’s popularity enables us to have a second chance at finding him the right woman.” And also to take advantage of the first season’s amazing ratings by charging more for ads and product placement, perhaps?
Production begins in May; there’s no word when the series might air.
