Pumkin is in a relationship with a woman who she describes as her “soulmate”
Flavor of Love’s Pumkin, aka Brooke Thompson, who spat in New York’s face during the show, is engaged to a woman. On her MySpace profile, Pumkin writes,
“A month ago I was hoping that one day I would find my soulmate … the one person I am destined to be with. I never thought I would find this person, but I have. I love you baby! I am now just looking to meet real people and true friends.”
In a blog entry, Pumkin writes, “I have met my soulmate … We are getting married. She show led me to eternal love.” Media Take out reports that woman is Courtney Taylor, not to be confused with the male lead singer from the Dandy Warhols (that’s Courtney Taylor-Taylor). Beyond that bit of information, Media Take Out’s “exclusive” report and photographs are pretty much entirely cribbed from Pumkin’s MySpace profile, although they’re attributed to “sources close to Pumpkin.” Ah, journalism.
Pumkin’s blog also includes a schmaltzy entry written for Courtney that is so touching it’s nauseating: “You mean the world to me and I care about you so deeply that it hurts for the short time that we are not together. My every thought and breath, I draw from you and I truly do love you.”
Earlier, Pumkin was fired from her job as a substitute teacher in Bakersfield, Calif.; a school district spokesperson told NBC 4, “We had kids that were sticking their heads in the door just to sneak a look at her and that kind of craziness that was just disruptive to the learning process.”
Update: A woman identifying herself as Courtney writes to reality blurred to share two things: One, Media Take Out’s impossibly lame reporting was incorrect, and her last name is actually Weaver. Two, she says that, while Brooke writes on her blog that the two “are getting married,” Courtney says, they “have plans of wanting to marry and it’s definitely something in our future, but were not yet engaged. Both she and I couldn’t be any happier where were at.”
