ArchivesFear Factor is about halfway through its new season, which featured a new stunt team and plenty of themed episodes, but this season may be the last.
The show was scheduled to return from its Olympics hiatus with a string of episodes starring reality TV stars. However, the show has been pulled from NBC’s schedule.
More significantly, “production for the current season has been completed and the network has not decided whether to bring “Fear Factor” back for 2006-07,” an NBC spokesperson told TV Week. But more damningly, the site reports that those who worked on the show have left. “Staffers on NBC’s longest-running reality series are said to have moved on to their next jobs,” according to TV Week.
TV Week says “original, unaired episodes … will run during the summer,” and NBC’s site confirms that, but there are no dates yet. It seems, though, like they’ll just be burning off those episodes which were already ordered, not bringing the show back then.
