Fear Factor sticks with couples, will shoot “home invasion” segments.

NBC’s Fear Factor is ditching its single-person format; instead, teams of two—which have been increasingly prevalent on the series—will now compete for the prize. As the AP reports, this “is just one of several changes in a retooling of the gross-out reality show.”

Additionally, a new segment on the show called “Home Invasion” will feature “families, friends, or roommates” who “will get to do an actual Fear Factor stunt live in their house, and ON TV, for the chance to win a typically awesome Fear Factor prize.” Producers are looking for participants in 32 cities; 22 segments will be shot.
