ABC moves Extreme Makeover to become Shark Tank’s new lead-in

After eight seasons, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is leaving its Sunday night at 8 p.m. timeslot, and moving to Fridays at 8, where it will be the new lead-in for the recently renewed Shark Tank.

I haven’t watched Extreme Makeover in years, the show on which people’s old houses are bulldozed and replaced with new houses stocked with happiness-inducing Sears appliances. But as a fan of Shark Tank, I imagine the lead-in of a popular series will only help it. In addition, Moving Shark Tank to 9 p.m. moves it out of the way of Fox’s Kitchen Nightmares, which airs at 8 p.m. Fridays.
