Extreme Makeover: Home Edition renovation recipient has been missing.
The woman whose house was made over for next Sunday night’s edition of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition “has not been seen in her South Ozone Park neighborhood for several weeks, neighbors” told the New York Post. 62-year-old Lucy Ali “was ill and hospitalized” earlier this week, according to an ABC spokesperson, but no other details were provided. The mother of two adopted 12-year-olds, Ali lives in South Ozone Park in Queens, and had her house renovated by Ty Pennington and crew in July. The reason: they’d “been left virtually homeless by an unscrupulous home-improvement company that took $72,000 she’d borrowed from the bank, then abandoned the house in 2002 with gaping holes in the roof and no bathrooms or running water.” The episode featuring the makeover airs next Sunday, followed by a Nov. 1 special about how the house was redone.
