DWTS cast announced Monday, will have rehearsal time limits to prevent injuries

Dancing with the Stars 9 will announce its cast Monday on Good Morning America, including, perhaps, La Toya Jackson, who’s the latest rumored cast member, joining Lou Ferrigno and Kurt Angle—and maybe even Paula Abdul.

The most recent rumor comes from Us Weekly, which says “ABC show has put out a firm offer for [La Toya] to be a contestant.”

Whoever’s in the cast, they won’t be allowed to rehearse as much as previous casts in order to keep them from injuring themselves, and depriving the show’s editors of the injury porn they love so much.

“There’s a rule now that we’re not allowed to train for more than five hours a day for the first two weeks,” and “After every two hours, you have to have a 30-minute break. And we have to have one full day off a week,” Cheryl Burke told E!’s Marc Malkin. She actually thinks that the five-hour limit is too high: “I think it should be a [sic] four hours. Your body still needs to get into it.”
