Dancing with the Stars 7
So You Think You Can Dance

Mark Ballas’ father, Lacey Schwimmer join Dancing with the Stars as four pros leave

Three new professional dancers will be part of Dancing with the Stars 7 this fall, including a reality TV dance competition star, while four from last season won’t return for the seventh season.

So You Think You Can Dance 3 fourth-place finalist Lacey Schwimmer, the sister of season two winner Benji Schwimmer, will join the show and dance with Lance Bass. Earlier, there was speculation that the openly gay singer would dance with a man.

Meanwhile, Cloris Leachman will dance with Corky Ballas, father of series regular Mark Ballas, who will be paired with Kim Kardashian. And Ted McGinley will dance with the third new professional, Inna Brayer, who ABC says “is the current US Amateur 10 Dance Champion.” ABC lists all the pairings in its announcement and on its web site.

Not returning from last season are four dancers, Jonathan Roberts, Anna Trebunskaya, Louis van Amstel, and Fabian Sanchez, while Alec Mazo returns after appearing on season five but not season six. Maksim Chmerkovskiy said he’d return to the show after taking a break for season six (after suggesting he was leaving for good), and he is on this season’s roster, paired with Misty May-Treanor.
