ArchivesWhether or not Lance Bass is cast on Dancing with the Stars 7, the big question seems to be whether or not he’ll dance with a male partner, because apparently ballroom dancers partners are selected based upon their sexual orientation.
Two-time winner Cheryl Burke told E!’s Marc Malkin, “I don’t think that would happen. I don’t think America is ready to watch two men dancing.”
That’s surprising considering ABC has already given them a joke about gay sex from the show’s contestants—although the network did deem that offensive enough to cut it from the west coast broadcast.
First season winner Kelly Monaco agrees that it’d be shocking, but is more encouraged by the idea. “If you want to shock the world and give them something new, I think it’s fantastic. I support it 100 percent!” she said.
