Cristian de la Fuente recovering from surgery with Percocet, cupcakes, “trashy” magazines

Cristián de la Fuente is recovering from the surgery he needed after becoming injured on Dancing with the Stars 6.

He “had surgery last week to repair the tendon he tore from the bone in his left bicep in the middle of a dance routine,” and that “required that a hole be drilled through his bone,” USA TODAY reports. (Those halfwits who think he’s faking will undoubtedly assume he just had a hole drilled into his arm to keep up the ruse.)

He’s still in pain. “I’m taking two Percocets every four hours — and that’s a lot. Sometimes that’s not enough,” Cristián said. The paper notes that “to avoid a stay in Celebrity Rehab, he is alternating Percocet with Advil.”

He’ll spend about three months recovering. His doctor told Entertainment Tonight, “Surgery went very nicely. I was able to get a perfect repair of the bicep. Cristian will spend about a week in a splint then start rehab. In approximately 3 months he will have a full recovery and full strength back.”

Earlier this week, Dancing alum Steve Guttenberg “knocked on de la Fuente’s door bearing a care package of pizza, cupcakes, ‘trashy’ magazines and a Godfather DVD,” according to USA TODAY, and Cristián said those were “The perfect things when you’re recovering in bed.”
