Dancing with the Stars 5
The Bachelor 11

ABC’s Dancing with the Stars 5, The Bachelor 11 debut tonight

ABC brings back two of its reality staples tonight, debuting the fifth season of Dancing with the Stars and the (unbelievable) 11th season of The Bachelor.

Besides a new group of quasi-celebrities on Dancing with the Stars 5 at 8 p.m. ET, there’s another major change: Tom Bergeron’s terrible, bumbling co-host Samantha Harris will not be present. She had a baby yesterday, and thus there will be a new co-host, hopefully someone who’s just as entertaining. Samantha’s publicist told the AP, “They told me we’ll just have to wait and see. It’s a surprise.”

The Bachelor 11’s new star makes his first appearance at 9:30 p.m. ET; the show will normally air at 10. He is Brad Womack, a Texas bar owner who will select from 11 women who ABC says include “an eye-catching beauty who has a secret past, an outspoken vixen dubbed “McNasty” and a devout Christian woman who is also a streaker.” With those women to choose from, the network says Brad “is ready to find his soul mate, settle down and have the family life he has so long desired.” And, you know, break up with her a month or two after the show ends.
