ArchivesHelio Castroneves and his fiancée have broken up. “I can confirm that Aliette Vazquez and I have called off our engagement and are no longer together. At this time I would prefer to keep my private life private,” Helio told People magazine.
That announcement has fueled rumors that Helio and Julianne have become this season’s second couple. Sabrina and Mark confirmed their relationship earlier this season.
Helio told Extra cryptically that his kiss with Julianne at the end of their final dance “was the beginning of something [but] it [the relationship] was beyond that point. It was time to let go.”
And the New York Daily News’ Ben Widdicombe reports that “on-set snitches are saying his closeness to dance partner Julianne Hough, 19, was a big part of the reason” for the break-up.
