ArchivesFor the second time this season, a Dancing with the Stars 5’s contestant’s parent has died. Marie Osmond’s father died Tuesday morning, and as a result, she did not appear on the live results show last night.
In addition, “it was not clear whether Osmond would return to the competition if she is not voted off Tuesday, although ABC was hoping that she would,” Broadcasting & Cable reports, citing “a show source.”
Her father, George Osmond, was 90. “He was a man of integrity, of honor. He was the best man I’ve ever known. … I wanted my dad to be proud of me,” Marie told Entertainment Tonight.
Meanwhile, Jane Seymour, was voted out of the competition last night. Her mother died earlier this season, and she missed last week’s results show due to food poisoning.
