The news comes following a late November report that Fergie and Jennifer Aniston were both interested in being cast for the show. Since then, she’s denied that she even wants to be on the show. But clearly, that wasn’t the case with Fergie.
Executive producer Conrad Green told the Daily Express, “Everyone loves a royal romance and her presence will bring dazzling ratings. We like having a mixture and we’ve not had a duchess.” He’s also trying to get romance rumors started now, before she’s even paired with a dancer. “Fergie will add a touch of class to the proceedings and the fans will be waiting to see if she falls for her dance partner,” Green said.
