ArchivesMario Lopez and Karina Smirnoff, who’ve been together since appearing together on Dancing with the Stars 3 in late 2006, have broken up.
“Karina has parted ways with her two year relationship with Mario Lopez. The relationship wasn’t heading in the right direction,” Karina’s spokesperson told People.
Mario’s statement was a bit more upbeat, and in first person: “Karina and I have the utmost respect for each other. She is a phenomenal and talented woman. I support her always and feel blessed to have her in my life,” he said via his representative.
A year ago, they moved in together. This April, Karina denied that they’d broken up.
