Return of Dancing with the Stars will include a results show
The voting system that was apparently more confusing than Palm Beach County ballots has led to a change for the show’s second season.
Dancing with the Stars 2 will air twice a week, with a half-hour results show being added to the hour-long competition episode. Eliminations will still be determined based upon the judges’ and viewers’ combined scores, but they’ll be announced during the new episode.
Perhaps the most disturbing part of this news is that, according to The Hollywood Reporter, “Several critics, who had a day earlier pressed ABC Entertainment president Stephen McPherson and ‘Dancing’ producers about the judging, cheered when the results show was announced.”
Um, you’re critics, and you’re applauding after your bitching led to a summertime ballroom dancing reality show to add a second episode for its new season? Those of you who were clapping really shouldn’t sit so close to the TV.
