Saved by the Bell comes to Dancing with the Stars: Elizabeth Berkley’s awesome routine
In the best-ever pre-dance bit in the history of Dancing with the Stars, Elizabeth Berkley recreated a famous scene from Saved by the Bell, the 1989 to 1993 sitcom she starred in.
It was this scene about her character Jessie Spano’s caffeine pill addiction, during which Zack Morris confronted her about her pill use and Jessie desperately sang “I’m so excited!” before breaking down.
So what did Elizabeth Berkley choose when she had to choose a performance connected to the most memorable year of her life? That scene followed by a jive to The Pointer Sisters’ “I’m So Excited.” Her ability to embrace that moment from her past made it even more fun. Watch it below.
Other dances were great, too: Amber Riley’s commemoration of her start on Glee, Snooki’s dance about last year, when she had her baby. Altogether, they’ve affirmed that the casting—and now creative—choices on Dancing with the Stars this year make for the best cast ever and the most entertaining season in a long time.
