DWTS ratings hit season low without Kate Gosselin

Whether they loved her or just wanted to see her fail, some viewers clearly tuned in to Dancing with the Stars for Kate Gosselin, because after she was voted out, ratings fell.

Monday’s first Kate-less episode was the most-popular show of the night with around 20 million viewers, but “with adults 18-49 it was a season low for a DWTS performance show,” according to TV By the Numbers, which reports the show lost .4 of a point among adults 18 to 49.

Tuesday was another season low, as the results averaged about 12.2 million viewers, but “was down 4% from last week to a 2.3 rating, a series low for a regular telecast,” TV By the Numbers reports.
