ABC changes Dancing with the Stars dance-off length just because it can
Dancing with the Stars’ finalists will have a dance-off on Tuesday, and ABC previously scheduled the hour-and-a-half special to start at 8:30 p.m. ET. That’s right in the middle of NBC’s The Biggest Loser 2, and the special concludes in the 9 p.m. hour, opposite the finale of Big Brother 6.
But The Futon Critic has a press release that NBC sent out to clarify the time. The show will not run from 8:30 to 10 p.m. ET. Instead, ABC is expanding the show by one minute, just to kick the other networks in the stomach. Here’s what the the release says:
ABC TELEVISION NETWORK LAST-MINUTE PROGRAM INFORMATIONTuesday, September 20
8:30 - 10:01 PM
UPDATE DANCING WITH THE STARS: DANCE-OFF — Please note the new run time for this program (had been 8:30-10:00 p.m.).
Glad they cleared that up, but that final minute better include John O’Hurley pouncing upon Kelly Monaco, or ABC is going to have to answer to viewers.
