Ted Nugent will hunt down contestants on CMT show
Ted Nugent will actually hunt down contestants in a new reality series that will debut this August on CMT.
Each episode of Runnin’ Wild … From Ted Nugent will feature three contestants who Nugent will teach “the ‘Big Five of Survival,’ including the psychology of survival, shelter, water, fire and food, and will design an obstacle centered on that skill,” according to CMT. And then the fun begins: “The competitors then try to survive on their own while Nugent and [his son] Rocco attempt to hunt them down.”
There’s no word if he’ll actually shoot them or not, but if not, that’d be a good spin-off, combining Series 7: The Contenders with, say, MTV’s Challenge alumni.
Ted Nugent is the kind of guy whose own web site says that he “is still going strong, partly thanks to venison — what he calls his wonder food,” and notes that he “began bowhunting at the ripe, young age of five and hasn’t slowed down one bit. While he’s often called a guitar hero, it’s because of his work with the National Rifle Association (NRA) and his advocacy for hunting, that he has earned the respect of hunters across North America.”
And if he guns down a few obnoxious reality stars, he’ll earn the respect of TV watchers, too.
