ArchivesMTV’s next Challenge is bringing in some fresh meat, literally. Perhaps because the powers that be realize we’ll stab ourselves in the neck with our remotes if we have to sit through another season with Coral, Derrick, and the same group of cast members who’ve populated the series for the past few years.
Alas, while the Fresh Meat season will include 12 viewers plucked off their couches, it also features 12 former cast members. I guess they had to keep them around or it really wouldn’t be a Real World/Road Rules Challenge.
Those returning are Coral, Danny, Darrell, Derrick, Johanna, Katie, Melinda, Shane, Theo, Tina, Tonya, and Wes. (And for the record, Wes was not devoured by a rabid kangaroo.)
But perhaps the best casting news of all is that producers once again offered TJ Lavin the job, so we’re in for another season of his incoherent annoyance at the childish behavior of the cast.
